A colposcopy is a procedure used to closely examine the cervix, vagina, and vulva for signs of disease, usually after an abnormal Pap smear. It’s recommended if your Pap smear results show abnormalities or if your doctor suspects cervical issues. During the procedure, a special magnifying instrument is used to detect abnormal cells, and biopsies may be taken if needed.

A PAP smear is a screening test for cervical cancer that detects abnormal cells on the cervix before they turn into cancer. Women should begin getting PAP smears at age 21 and continue every 3-5 years, depending on age and previous results. Regular PAP smears are essential for early detection and prevention of cervical cancer.

A mammogram is an X-ray of the breasts used to detect breast cancer. Women are usually advised to start getting annual or biennial mammograms between the ages of 40-50, depending on risk factors and family history. Mammography helps detect breast cancer early, when it’s most treatable.

A menopause clinic provides specialized care for women experiencing menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, and vaginal dryness. You can visit when you start noticing symptoms or if you need advice on hormone replacement therapy (HRT), bone health, or managing other menopause-related issues.

The HPV vaccine protects against the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is responsible for most cases of cervical cancer, as well as some other cancers and genital warts. It’s recommended for girls (and boys) starting at ages 9-12 to prevent infection before they become sexually active, but it can be given up to age 26 or later in some cases.

An ECG (electrocardiogram) measures the heart’s electrical activity to detect heart issues like arrhythmias or heart attacks. An ECHO (echocardiogram) uses sound waves to create images of the heart to assess its structure and function. A TMT (Treadmill Test) assesses how your heart responds to physical stress. These tests are often recommended for individuals with symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, or those with risk factors for heart disease.
